If this is YOU, Let's GET TO WORK!
Sitting for long periods and working on a computer can create stiffness and pain....walking just 20 minutes a day without stopping and getting a massage can change the picture!
In my years of work, I've come to look at the body as a whole; often the pain you are experiencing is postural in nature and your issue may be far from the place where you are experiencing it. For instance, one client had very bad, chronic low back pain, but we discovered it was coming from the position her feet maintained and when we addressed that, the pain was virtually removed. ...so I try to see the entire picture and work to change it. Since you are in your body 24/7, Stretching, Exercise, Postural Changes, working with a Doctor, Physical Therapst, Acupuncturist, Dentist or Chiropractor, along with Massage can really make a difference in your pain and discomfort.
Mothers-to-be and post pregnancy moms can benefit greatly from massage. Clients are supported by pillows in side-lying and supine (face-up on the back) positions...most find that low back, neck and shoulders are the problem areas and the work provides a big relief! Clients are required to obtain a doctor's RX for massage to receive this work.
This extremely gentle work promotes movement in the Lymphatic System and helps the body detoxify. This NOT Intended for Lymphedema. Clients are required to fill out a consent form which deecribes the possible reactions to this work; this may include increased urination and nausea. A doctor's RX is not required but is suggested.
